Visa Process and Requirements for Indian Nationals.


BUSINESS VISA

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING BUSINESS VISAS:

To avoid inconveniences, applicants are advised to submit their application at least four (04) weeks prior to the proposed date of departure.

Application for a Visa requested within 10 days of date of departure will not be accepted.

In accordance with the relevant Law of the Argentine Republic and the international practice, the Consul is entitled to refuse the visa and request for more documents apart from the above-mentioned list.

Additional documentation might be required by the Consular authority.

All documents must be submitted in ORIGINAL (no photocopies or emails will be accepted). 

Fulfilling the abovementioned requirements does not guarantee the visa issuance, being this an exclusive prerogative of the Argentine State. 

We strongly suggest that the invitation letter includes all the details as mentioned in the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship. 

The absence of relevant details -such as date and place of entry and departure, purpose of invitation, contact details of the inviting company and personal details of the invitee, among others- might result in the require of a new invitation letter. 

MAXIMUM PERIOD OF STAY:60 days 

FEES:All nationalities, 200 USD (rate as per Consular Units).

Under bilateral agreement, we kindly remind that long term business visas for Indian nationals are free.

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Original Passport: must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months from the intended date of entry and have at least two (2) Completely free pages left, for the Consular visa stamp and Argentina’s Migration entry & exit stamps. Photo copy of passport (1st and last page, valid or recently expired Visas). must be presented at the time of submission.

2. Visa application form all questions must be answered and the form must be signed by the applicant.  Incomplete or incorrect forms will not be accepted.

3. Photo: Two (2) recent passport style, color photograph (4 x 4 cm). White background. Front Face.

4. Letter from the company/institution for which the applicant is working, explaining the purpose of the trip, confirming that the applicant is currently employed by the company -including for how long- and it must be accompanied by the last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-.

The letter must be written on company/institution letter-head, signed by the person in charge, notarized and translated into Spanish (the translation does not need to be notarized).

If you are the owner of the business, please add a copy of your business’ official registration and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-. 

  5. A letter from the corresponding Chamber of Commerce, Federation, Council, or Association of the state where the company/institution is registered. If not registered in any of the above, a certified copy of the official “Certificate of Incorporation/Registration” of the Company/ institution with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in the country of origin duly notarized (please provide also a non-official translation into Spanish).

6.  Invitation letter from the inviting company/ institution in Argentina. The company/ institution must be registered in the RENURE (Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes Extranjeros).

The invitation letter must follow the guidelines stipulated in the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina. 

Have in mind that the invitation can be processed in paper format OR through the TAD online system (Trámites a Distancia).

7. Hotel reservation in Argentina.

8. Flight Reservation: Copy of the round-trip flight reservation. One-way tickets will not be accepted.

9. Evidence of funds: copy of applicant’s bank statements for the last six months along with an account balance certificate and the consolidated balance certificate, all attested by the bank (and copy of an international credit card, if available).

10. Copy of passport & valid Visas (Valid or recently expired Visas), kindly attach a copy of each of them.

11. The applicant's personal tax returns for the last 3 years, and 3 months’ pay slips.

12. Personal Interview: All visa applicants without any exception will have a personal interview with a consular officer, in person.

 

BUSINESS VISAS FOR MARKET STUDY, FAIRS/EVENTS/SPORTS

MAXIMUM PERIOD OF STAY:30 days 

FEES:All nationalities, 200 USD (rate as per Consular Units).

 

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

Original Passport: must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months from the intended date of entry and have at least two (2) Completely free pages left, for the Consular visa stamp and Argentina’s Migration entry & exit stamps. ETA (TOURISM / SEAFARER)

Tourism visa

In case the applicants are passport holders of India, Bhutan, Nepal or Maldives, and are holding valid B2/J/B1/O/P /E OR H1B Visa issued by the USA at least for 6 months they are eligible for ETA ¨Electronic travel authorization¨.

PROCEDURE:-

Seafarer visa

The webpage of the NATIONAL DIRECTORATE OF MIGRATION (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones) will be the only Portal through which the applicant will be able to enter the request for the ETA for Seafarer and make the payment of the service remuneration rate correspondingly.

The maritime agency registered and valid before the REGISTER OF AGENCY PROVIDERS MARITIME (REGISTRO DE APODERADOS DE AGENCIAS MARÍTIMA).

FAMILY REUNIFICATION VISA

DOCUMENTS REQUIREMENTS:

NOTE:

*Once proceedings in the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones are concluded and the Migratory Entry Permit has been issued, the applicant needs to apply for the visa at the Embassy.

*All documents must be submitted in ORIGINAL (no photocopies or emails will be accepted).

1. A complete Visa Application Form duly signed by the applicant. ALL questions must be answered. In case this requirement is not fulfilled the application would not be accepted.

2. Passport: must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the intended date of entry and have at least two free pages.

3. Three (3) recent 4x4cm color photograph, facing front and with a white background. Two additional 4x4cm color photograph, right profile and with a sky-blue background.

4. Proof of residence in the consular jurisdiction. Please, note that this visa can only be applied at the place of residence of the applicant.

5. A certified copy legalized by colegio de escribano in Argentina of the Documento Nacional de Identidad - DNI (Argentine ID Card) of the Argentine relative or permanent resident.

6. An domicile/residence certificate of the Argentine relative or permanent resident; issued by the Policia Federal Argentina ( not more then 3 months old).

7. Depending on the case: Original birth certificate issued by the corresponding authority. In the case of India, the certificate must be apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs. In the case of Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, the certificate must be duly legalized by the corresponding Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Furthermore, the certificate must be translated into Spanish (by an authorized entity). The translation should be duly certified. Affidavits are NOT accepted.

Original marriage certificate issued by the corresponding authority. In the case of India, the certificate must be apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs. In the case of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, the certificate must be duly legalized by the corresponding Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Furthermore, the certificate must be translated into Spanish (by an authorized entity). The translation should be duly certified. Affidavits are NOT accepted.

8. For applicants older than 16 years old: original police clearance certificate issued by the competent authorities of the countries where the applicant has resided for more than 1 year, during the course of the last 3 years. The police clearance certificate must be translated to Spanish. In the case of India, the certificate must be apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs. In the case of Bhutan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka, the certificate must be duly legalized by the corresponding Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In India, the competent authority to issue such certificate is the Regional Passport Office.

9. For applicants older than 16 years old a sworn declaration signed in front of the Consular authority where the applicant declares that he does not have criminal records in other countries is required.

10. For applicants under 18 years old an original authorization letter from both parents to request the visa is mandatory.

11. Cover letter by the applicant, addressed to the Visa Section of the Embassy of Argentina in Delhi, must include the following: purpose of visit, duration of stay in Argentina, passport details of the applicant, passport details of those accompanying the applicant, details of the family members in Argentina, & who will bear all the expenses for the trip. The mentioned note should be translated into Spanish.

12. Flight tickets (Only reservations).

13. Copy of passport & valid/latest visas (if any).

14. A copy of the "Acta de notificación" issued by DNM.

15. Consular interview at the Embassy.

RELIGIOUS VISA

SHORT TERM:

Maximum stay: 30 days

 

LONG TERM:

Maximum stay: 12 months

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Original Passport: must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months from the intended date of entry and have at least two (2) Completely free pages left, for the Consular visa stamp and Argentina’s Migration entry & exit stamps. Photo copy of passport (1st and last page, valid or recently expired Visas). must be presented at the time of submission.

2. Photographs:

Short term: Three (3) current 4 x 4 cm photographs, facing the camera, printed in colour, on a white background.

Long termin: Three (3) current 4 x4 cm photographs, right profile, sky blue background.

3. Visa application form filled out (preferably in electronic format) and signed by the applicant -please find attached.

4. Proof of habitual residence within the jurisdiction of the Consulate (such as a utility bill or other document that serves as proof).

5. Flight ticket reservation: copy of the airline flight roundtrip ticket reservation

6. In the case of travelers aged 16 or older and travelling for a period exceeding 6 (six) months, an apostilled or legalized certificate of good conduct/Police clearance issued by the competent authority of the countries where they resided for more than one year over the previous three years.

7. In the case of travelers aged 16 or older and travelling for a period exceeding 6 (six) months, Commitment to tell the truth or Sworn affidavit of their lack of a criminal record in other countries, signed before the consul.

8. Invitation letter containing the following information:

a. Community, congregation or diocese where the member of the clergy will perform tasks;

b. Type of work to be carried out (pastoral, community, teaching, etc.);

c. Address and contact information of the religious entity;

d. Name of superior/province or authority in charge;

e. Length of stay in the Argentine Republic. The letter must be signed by a representative of the entity and submitted to the General Directorate for the National Registry of Religious Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship, which will certify the signature and notify the relevant Consulate in order to carry out the process. The Catholic Church is exempted from the National Registry of Petitioners on behalf of Foreign Applicants (RENURE) requirement.

IMPORTANT: The letter of invitation can be processed in paper formtar of through TAD online system.

9. A letter written by the applicant, stating: his/her personal details, the activities he/she will perform in Argentina and the period in which he/she will stay in the country. The letter must be notarized and duly translated into Spanish by a professional translator. (the translation does not need to be notarized, only the original letter needs to be).

10. A letter from the applicant's Institution/Congregation, written in letter-headed paper, stating he/she is serving there, authorizing the trip. The letter must be notarized and DULY translated to Spanish. (The translation does not need to be notarized, only the original letter needs to be).

11. If applicable, Kindly present bank statements of last 6 months if applicant is not getting any renumeration then s/he can present Bank statements of the Institute.

12. Without exception, personal Interview with the consul authority.

13.  Copy of passport & valid/latest visas (if any).

SEAFARER VISA

NOTE:

PROCESS AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

The Argentine company must contact the National Migration Directorate (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, the argentine migratory Authority) in Argentina, in order to request a Migratory Entry Permit ("Permiso de Ingreso Migratorio" - PIM). 

After the Argentine company submits them all the necessary documentation required by Dirección Nacional de Migraciones, and pays there the corresponding fees, they will issue a "Acta de Notificación", which notifies the proceedings are done. Applicants are requested to include a copy of this "Acta de Notificación" with the rest of the documents. Once proceedings in the Dirección Nacional de Migraciones are concluded and the Migratory Entry Permit has been issued, the applicant needs to apply for the visa at the Embassy with the following documents. 

1. A complete Visa Application Form duly signed by the applicant. ALL questions must be answered. In case this requirement is not fulfilled the application would not be accepted. 

2. Original Passport: must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months from the intended date of entry and have at least two (2) Completely free pages left, for the Consular visa stamp and Argentina’s Migration entry & exit stamps, must be presented at the time of submission. 

3. 3 (three) recent 4 x 4cm color photograph, facing front and with a white background.

6. Evidence of funds: personal bank statement of the last six months, attested by the bank.   

7. A letter from your employer, explaining the purpose of your trip on company letter head. The letter must be notarized and duly translated into Spanish. (The translation does not need to be notarized. Letter must be accompanied with the digital invitation of local agents in Argentina. 

8. Original Work Contract from the shipping company, if not then notarized copy of contract letter. 

9. Copy of passport & valid Visas (Valid or recently expired Visas), kindly attach a copy of each of them. 

10. Consular interview at the Embassy.

STUDENT VISA

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:

Please note that Consular authorities may require supplementary or additional documents where deemed necessary.

Applications for studies can be submitted at the Consular Office of the Argentine Republic in the place of residence of the foreign national.

FEES:

Short term (less than 365 days): 150 USD

Long termn (+365 days): 250 USD

1. Original Passport: must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months from the intended date of entry and have at least two (2) completely free pages left, for the Consular visa stamp and Argentina’s Migration entry & exit stamps. Photo copy of passport (1st and last page, valid or recently expired Visas).

2. SHORT TERM.Three (3) current 4 x 4 cm photographs, facing the camera, printed in color, on a white background. LONG TERM VISA requires 3 (three) colour photos, 4x4 cm, sky blue background right profile.

3. Visa application form filled out (preferably in electronic format) and signed by the applicant.

4. A letter explaining the purpose of trip with all the details of course/duration etc. Duly notarized and translated to Spanish language.

5. Program of study in English and Spanish Language.

6. Electronic filing of the student data (Pre-carga de datos electronicos) by the educational institution in the National Directorate of Migration or “Permiso de Ingreso” Entry Permit issued by DNM.

7. The educational institution must be duly registered with the National Registry of Petitioners on behalf of Foreign Applicants of Argentina (RENURE) and have their inscription number. If the host is not registered with RENURE, please  to complete the registration.

8. If possible, a Letter of Inviatation from the inviting Institution in Argentina that mentions the terms of the agreements that leads to you spending the time of your course in Argentina, as well as that if the receiving institution will provide you lodging in Argentina.

9. Proof of sufficient funds to cover stay and study expenses (consular authorities may request copies of bank account statements, credit card statements, or other) Students can present Bank statements of their parents with Income proof like salary slips for last 3 months and ITR for last 3 years along with the affidavit of support signed by the parents/guardians who will bear the expenses. (Affidavit also need to be notarized and translated to spanish). 

10. In the case of travellers aged 16 or older travelling for a period exceeding 6 (six) months, an apostilled or legalized certificate of good conduct issued by the competent authority of the countries where they resided for more than one year over the previous three years (duly translated to Spanish language). 

11. A letter from current University/Employer if you are going for Student Exchange or Non Formal Studies or on Scholarships, it has to be duly notarized and translated to Spanish language. 

12. Payment of consular fee: 150 US dollars for less than 365 days and 250 US dollars for long term. The fee must be paid in the local currency of the Representation.

13. Flight and accommodations reservations.

14. If the student is a minor, authorization by both parents in order to apply for the visa and the name of the tutor responsible in Argentina.

15. Copy of passport & valid/latest visas (if any).

16. Educational documents apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs, and its translation into Spanish (by an authorized entity). The translation should be correspondingly certified.

TECHNICIAN, ARTISTS, PROFESSIONAL, CONFERENCE VISA

MAXIMUM PERIOD OF STAY

30 days.

TOUR GUIDE / TOUR LEADER

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:

May apply for a professional visa, a person who meets the following requirements:

*a person who as a profession, guides/leads a group of tourists on trips, and receives a salary for that activity;

*is working for a registred tourist services company;

*a certified and registred argentinean company is the counterpart in Argentina, which can provide an invitation letter.

TOURIST VISA

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS REGARDING TOURIST VISA:

Each visa application is analyzed on a case-by-case basis.

Fulfilling the listed requirements does not guarantee the visa issuance, being this an exclusive prerogative of the Argentine State.

In accordance with the relevant Law of the Argentine Republic and the international practice, the Consul is entitled to refuse the visa and/or request for more documents apart from the mentioned down below.

It is advisable to apply 4 weeks in advance to avoid any inconveniences.

Tourist visa applications may be submitted to any Consular Office of the Argentine Republic.

 

PERIOD OF STAY IN ARGENTINA:

Maximum, 90 days.

 

FEES - INDIAN NATIONALS:

Under bilateral agreement, tourist visas for Indian nationals are free of cost:

1. Original Passport: must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months from the intended date of entry and have at least two (2) Completely free pages left, must be presented at the time of submission.

2. Visa application form: Must be a 3-page Visa form (cannot be back-to-back). All questions must be answered and the form must be signed by the applicant. Incomplete or incorrect forms shall not be accepted.

3. Photo: 3 (three) recent passport style, color photograph (4 x 4 cm). White background, Front Face.

4. Cover letter by the applicant, addressed to the Visa Section of the Embassy of Argentina in Delhi, must be include the following: purpose of visit, duration of stay in Argentina, passport details of the applicant, passport details of those accompanying the applicant, who will bear all the expenses for the trip. The mentioned note should be notarized and translated into Spanish.

[Please note that entrepreneurs must provide the cover letter on the letterhead of their company]

5. A letter from your employer confirming that you are currently employed and for how long (in case you are on leave, it should also be stated in the letter). This letter must be written on company/ institution letter-head, signed by the person in charge, notarized and duly translated to Spanish. (The translation does not need to be notarized). It should also be accompanied by the last 3 months' salary/pay-slip and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-. 

If you are the owner of the business, please add a copy of your business’ official registration notarized and duly translated into Spanish and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR-. 

If you are self-employed or a student, you need to present all documents/certificates related to your current occupation. All such documents must be notarized/ apostilled and duly translated into Spanish (the translation does not need to be notarized).

6. Travel itinerary (corresponding to the tickets provided)

7. Round trip flight tickets (Only reservations)

[Please note that internal flight or bus tickets and/or cruise booking must also be included with the payment details]

8. Hotel reservations corresponding to flight tickets and itinerary (Must be reservations)

In case a hotel reservation is not made and if there is an invitation from a person in Argentina, an ORIGINAL invitation letter is required. The letter must be certified by an Argentine Public Notary and also by the "Colegio de Escribanos" (the Public Notaries’ Association). Along with the original letter of invitation submit a copy of the Argentine ID Card from the person inviting (DNI). The invitation letter can follow the general guidelines of the model letter available in the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of Argentina https://cancilleria.gob.ar/en/service/foreigners/invitation-letter 

Invitation letter in Spanish can also be issued digitally through a system called 'Trámites a Distancia - TAD'. In that case. Please forward the following link to the concerned person in Argentina to understand the process of TAD.

9. Applicant’s salary slips (3 months, latest) along with last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR [If not applicable for self, please add trip sponsor’s]. 

10. Applicant’s personal, consolidated bank statements duly stamped by the bank (Last 6 months). [For dependents, please add a copy of the trip sponsor’s bank statements] 

11. Copy of passport & valid Visas (Valid or recently expired Visas), kindly attach a copy of each of them. Personal Interview: All visa applicants without exception need to have a personal interview with a consular officer. Dates for the personal interview is shall be confirmed on completion of the verification process.

WORK VISA (NEW EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT)

LENGHT OF STAY:

Maximum, 1 (one) year.

FEES: (All nationalities)

250 USD (rate as per Consular Units)

GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS:

This type of visa is for new employment contract, between an Indian national and a company in Argentina.

Proceedings to apply for a TEMPORARY WORK VISA are initiated before the Argentine immigration authority (Dirección Nacional de Migraciones. Dirección de Admisión de Extranjeros, Av. Antártida Argentina 1355, Edificio 4, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires 1104, Argentina, tel.: (54-11) 4312-8661/9).

The applicant needs to obtain an Entry Permit (Permiso de Ingreso) from the DNM.

Please note that requests can be submitted by a representative of the company in Argentina to the issuing authority.

After the hiring company submits all the necessary documentation required by DNM, and pays there the corresponding fee, the DNM will issue an "Acta de Notification" (which certifies the proceedings done).

 

DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:

NOTE: Once proceedings before the DNM are concluded and the Entry Permit has been issued, what the applicant needs to bring to the Embassy to obtain the temporary work visa is:

1. A copy of the "Acta de notificación" issued by DNM 

2. The employment contract CERTIFIED by a public notary AND attested by the Argentine Notaries Association (Colegio de Escribanos), signed by the hiring company.The applicant will sign such contract before the Chief of the Consular Section.Note that the hiring company must be registered at the RENURE (Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes Extranjeros) https://www.argentina.gob.ar/interior/migraciones/registro-nacional-unic...

3. In case employed, A letter from the employer confirming that the applicant is currently employed at the company and is going to work in Argentina for a parent, affiliate, subsidiary or branch office of your local employer. The letter must be written on company letter-head paper, duly signed by the person in charge accompanied by the last 3 months' salary/pay-slip and last 3 year's Income Tax Return -ITR (It needs to be notarized and translated to Spanish language). 

4.  Visa application form: All questions must be answered and the form must be signed by the applicant.  Incomplete or incorrect forms will not be accepted. 

5. Passport: must be valid for one year from the intended date of entry and have at least one completely free page left for the visa. 

6. Recent passport style photographs (2 nos.): 4cm x 4cm, white background, front profile, (2 nos.): 4cm x 4cm, sky blue background, right profile. 

7. Original police clearance certificate issued by the authorities of the countries where the applicant has resided for a period exceeding one (1) year, during the course of the last three (3) years, apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs if applicable. In India, the competent authority is the Regional Passport Office, and its translation into Spanish (by an authorized entity). 

8. Copy of passport & valid/latest visas (if any) 

9. Reservation of flight tickets and hotel/proof of accommodation as planned.

IMPORTANT: If the employee is moving to Argentina with his/her spouse and/or children, each dependent must produce the following materials, completed, signed, authenticated and translated as necessary:

1) Passport;

2) Application form;

3) four photographs;

4) Entry Permit;

5) Birth certificate;

6) Police records (dependents who are 18 years of age or older only);

7) Affidavit (dependents who are 18 years of age or older only) to be completed at the Consulate; 8) Parental consent form to travel and to live temporarily in Argentina (dependents who are under 18 years of age only) must be completed and signed by both parents and notarized. The signature of the notary public must be authenticated by the “Apostille”.

WORK VISA (TRANSFERRED PERSONNEL)

LENGHT OF STAY:Maximum, 1 (one) year.

To avoid inconveniences, applicants are advised to submit their application at least thirty (30) days prior to the proposed date of departure. Application for a Visa requested within 10 days of date of departure will not be accepted.

In accordance with the relevant Law of the Argentine Republic and the international practice, the Consul is entitled to refuse the visa.

4. A letter from the company's branch in Argentina stating the position the applicant will hold, the exact period during which the applicant will stay in the country and the place where he/she will perform such functions. Note that the company in Argentina must be registered at the RENURE (Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes Extranjeros) and so must the person signing the letter.The letter provided in physical or paper format, must be certified by an Argentine Public Notary and also by the "Colegio de Escribanos" (the Public Notaries’ association).

5. Invitation letter from the inviting company/ institution in Argentina. The company/ institution must be registered in the RENURE (Registro Nacional Único de Requirentes Extranjeros). In the letter,
